Astrology for the week of May 27 - June 2, 2019

If I was writing your horoscope for this week it would say:

Be careful of what you say in conversation or what you share/retweet in social media this week. Be present in all conversations and actively listen. Sharing incorrect information could go viral in a very bad way. Use your best judgement. There is also great potential to connect with someone on a karmic or soul level. Be social, but not gossipy. 

The reason for the alert in the above "horoscope" is that on May 29,  Mercury, who is now in Gemini squares (opposes) Neptune, Mercury also squares Jupiter, making a T-square in which Jupiter and Neptune have already been and remain in opposition. 

So this means Mercury, the planet of communication is in conflict with Neptune, the planet of mystery and illusion and both are in conflict with Jupiter, the planet of expansion, optimism, and joy. The information you read and hear may be unclear or inaccurate under Neptune's influence, and Mercury wants to communicate accurately and clearly. That is going to be a challenge this week under these energies. In addition be careful what you say as the listener may misunderstand your message. Jupiter's influence on all of this is that he likes to expand whatever he touches and miscommunication and misunderstandings could get out of control.

I realize that no one can get through a day without communicating with family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and clients, whether it is in person, on the phone or online. The best advice I can give is be present in all conversations, actively listen, verify facts before passing them along and don't give into gossip.

At the end of the week (May 31 & June 2), Venus trines (makes a positive connection) to Saturn and Pluto respectively. Venus, who is in her home sign of Taurus, will help ground the energies of the week in reality. Venus rules relationships and money. Under the influence of Saturn the planet of life lessons/Karma, and Pluto, the planet of transformation, an opportunity at the end of the week to manifest a positive (and possibly karmic) financial situation or new relationship may materialize. This could come from a random conversation! 

While it may be tempting to retreat from the world completely because of the Mercury-Neptune-Jupiter energies, don't! Conversations at the end of the week may lead to a relationship or financial opportunity with lasting impact.

Astrology for Week of May 20, 2019

It is a slow week for the cosmos with only a few astrological aspects, but there is good energy to grab and work to your advantage.

On Tuesday, May 21, 2019 both the Sun and Mercury move from the zodiac sign of Taurus and into the sign of Gemini. Mercury is the planetary rule of Gemini and feels right at home in the sign. It will be in its home sign for the next three weeks. 

Gemini is an air sign and rules the mental realm. Gemini's are curious, idea generators, and communicative. They like to explore new places and ideas, make new friends, and are very social. Chatty is definitely a quality. However their moods are changeable and can go up or down with the energy. The symbol of Gemini is the twins.

So with Mercury being in its home for three weeks, it will be a busy time in that house of the zodiac. It will feel like things are moving in all directions. Mercury will give full power to a focus on studying, communication, and decision-making.

Let's not forget the Sun, which will conjunct with Mercury, intensifying each other's power. The light of the Sun will bring clarity to the ability to communicate and make decisions based on clear information. There will be a lighter playful energy to the mental space. This will be a good time for brain-storming as ideas and lots of them may flow.

The planet Mars is in Sextile to Uranus. Sextile means both planets are at a 60 degree angle to each other signifying that they are in harmony and stable.  However, both planets are action oriented, which means the opportunity (or pressure) to take action to change something that needs to change about your life, behaviors, or beliefs is doubled. Ultimately it is up to you whether or not you take advantage of this energy.

At the time of this Sextile, Mars is in the sign of Cancer where the water sign is dampening its fire. Uranus is in the sign of Taurus, an earth sign that grounds Uranus's air energy also toning down its power.  Normally a planet of fire and a planet of air would surely create something out of control, but the power of both planets are reigned due to their placements in the zodiac. Their energies won't go to extreme. Another positive factor is that the signs of Cancer and Taurus are very compatible ensuring that change you wish to enact in your life will go relatively smoothly!  Complicated but positive aspect.

Wednesday, May 15, 2019 Venus & Mars activated again. On this day, Venus moves into Taurus, one of her home signs on the zodiac wheel (the other is Libra). Venus is benefic and loves being home. She is in her full power. Sensuousness abounds, but be careful of over doing it on the food and spending.

Mars moves into Cancer, a water sign. When fire meets water, fire usually doesn't win. So the action planet Mars is tamped down and you'll feel that too. The action that you will need to take is indirect.

Thursday, May 16, 2019 Mercury trines both Pluto and Saturn. Mercury is all about communication and our mental energy. Both Saturn and Pluto are retrograde and this influence will ground Mercury. It is a good time to review past decisions and plans. Do you need to go back and talk with people? Do you need to communicate something that was missed?


Saturday, May 18, 2019 Get ready for the full moon in Scorpio. Scorpio is about the deep desires inside of you and at the full moon you can take advantage of the energy to remove the obstacle that prevents those desires to manifest. The full moon wants you to acknowledge the obstacle and reflect on how to remove it. What is standing in your way? Clear it out.
